Grand elf's icon

The grand elf is upgrade of the wood elf, the third-tier creature of the Rampart faction in Heroes of Might and Magic III. It can be recruited from the upgraded homestead. In Heroes of Might and Magic III: Armageddon's Blade, Gelu can upgrade grand elves into sharpshooters.

Armed with bows, elves are the only Rampart units with a ranged attack. Grand elves takes two shots per attack.^OffBck

The grand elf has very similar stats to the wood elf, but the ability to shoot twice makes this a great improvement. The upgrade ensures that the Rampart forces will have decent ranged support.

Notes

• Ivor is a specialist in grand elves, and gives them +1 to Attack and Defense per hero level after third level. These creatures also get +1 to Speed.
