The main objective of the Goblin Trapper is to devise various dirty tricks, ideally with fatal consequences, to foil the enemy. They like to set traps on the battlefield. They also consider themselves to be great warriors. Before going into battle they daub themselves with mud and put on a necklace of teeth taken from all of their victims.OffBck
The goblin trapper is the first-level upgraded creature of the Stronghold town in Tribes of the East. Its basic version is goblin.
Goblin trappers are a considerable improvement over regular goblins, having more than twice as much health, 2 extra defense, and do not have the Treachery ability, but have 2 less initiative.
The Set Snares ability can derail an enemy's charge, but can just as easily backfire if the snare breaks. One way to get around this is to split the goblin trappers into multiple small stacks and have each of them lay a snare in the enemy's path. It is very unlikely that all of them will fail if this is done.
Abilities[]
- Raging Blood - This creature has a mix of demon and human blood that makes it subject to "Blood Rage" temporarily improving it's battle characteristics for aggressive behavior in combat.
- Cowardice - Suffering damage from a melee attack, this creature tries to run off to the nearest unoccupied location within its movement range. The creature retaliates only if it cannot flee.
- Set Snares - This creature can set a snare, invisible to the enemy, on the battlefield. When an enemy falls into the snare, it has a chance to lose some of its original movement range or even come to a halt. If the snare misfires, the Initiative of the creature that has set it will be zeroed (activated ability).
