Ghosts are fearsome creatures and posses relatively high strength as well as good maneuverability, as well as the ability to convert any enemies slain by them into Ghosts as well. As common strategy is to use armies consisting of maximum available units, then even one extra ghost that is raised through their ability will make them go out of control, thus making their useability very limited, unless they are used in conjunction with raise control spell. However as an opponents they can posses extreme threat especially if players army consists of weaker units like peasants or militias.

If player decides to use them to his advantage however, ghosts are also prone to fact that starting of peasant week instantly converts all ghosts in army into peasants.
