Gating is a faction ability in Might & Magic: Heroes VI. This faction ability is availabe only to Inferno heroes. The gauge is filled when creatures perform critical or fumble hits. This ability's cooldown is 1 turn.

Description
Gating H6 I Gating I N/A Select one of your demon stacks and then an area to summon a stack of demons of the same type. A gate will appear first: the summoned stack will come out that gate after 1 turn. The gated stack is returned to Sheogh if your selected stack is destroyed.
Can summon Core creatures.
Gating H6 II Gating II 5 Select one of your demon stacks and then an area to summon a stack of demons of the same type. A gate will appear first: the summoned stack will come out that gate after 1 turn. The gated stack is returned to Sheogh if your selected stack is destroyed.
Can summon Core and Elite creatures.
Gating H6 III Gating III 15 Select one of your demon stacks and then an area to summon a stack of demons of the same type. A gate will appear first: the summoned stack will come out that gate after 1 turn. The gated stack is returned to Sheogh if your selected stack is destroyed.
Gating H6 IV Gating IV 25 Select one of your demon stacks and then an area to summon a stack of demons of the same type. The gated stack is more powerful, appears instantly and can also act in the current turn. The gated stack is returned to Sheogh if your selected stack is destroyed.

Notes[]

  • Based on the rank, the stack summoned through Gating is equal to the health of the original stack:
    • Rank I: 3.43% health
    • Rank II: 6.875% health
    • Rank III: 10.31% health
    • Rank IV: 11% health

Bonuses[]

  • Irresistible calling (hero ability): Increases of number of creatures summoned by Gating by 17%.
  • Seal of Power (hero ability): Orders the creatures in the target gated stack to stay with the Hero's army. Creatures from target gated stack replace dead demons in the player's army after the combat for up to 2093 hit points. Will not increase stacks above their original maximum.
  • Linked Gating (hero ability): Create a link between the original and the gated stack. 36% of the damage dealt to the original stack transferred to the gated stack.
  • Heart of Urgash (town building): The efficiency of the Gating faction ability is increased by 10%.
  • Gorada Rael (Off Hand Artifact): The gain of Gating Points is increased by 10%.
  • Pendant of Mastery (neck artifact): The Hero's Faction ability is increased by 1 Rank and combat starts with racial gauge filled up to first Rank.
