Gargantuan's icon

The gargantuan is a fourth-level creature, connected to the Preserve town in Heroes of Might and Magic IV: The Gathering Storm. It can be found at the Gargantuan Dell external dwelling.

A large earth elemental, resembling a Behemoth, the Gargantuan attacks with the very earth in a devastating barrage of rocks. In melee, the Gargantuan pounds its opponents with its massive fists.^OffBck

Comments

The gargantuan is one of the strongest creatures in the game, and the best ranged attacker. Though the titan has a higher damage, it can't shoot twice like the Gargantuan, nor does it have the Area Attack. It is capable of inflicting a great deal of damage to its opponents, and does a lot of damage in melee as well.

When facing it, using spells is a good option, and moving into melee - while Normal Melee will let it do full damage, it can no longer attack twice in a round.

Abilities

	Ranged
	The Ranged ability allows this creature to attack enemies at a distance, but in melee combat this creature does half damage unless it has the Normal Melee ability.
	Shoots Twice
	Shoots Twice allows this ranged creature to fire twice each time it attacks. The second attack occurs after any enemy retaliation.
	Area Attack
	This creature's Area Attack allows its ranged attacks to strike all targets, friendly or hostile, in a small area (3x3 yards).
	Normal Melee
	This creature's Normal Melee means it doesn't suffer the melee combat damage penalty suffered by most ranged creatures.
