The fountain is an adventure map structure in the Heroes of Might and Magic series. It first appears in Heroes of Might and Magic I. It is known as the Fountain of Fortune in Heroes III, Heroes IV and Heroes V, and the Beer Fountain in Olden Era.
In most games, the hero receives a temporary +1 bonus to luck when visiting the fountain, which lasts until the next battle. In Heroes of Might and Magic III, it changes the visiting hero's luck for the next battle by either -1, +1, +2, or +3, with the amount provided changing randomly each week. In Olden Era, the fountain provides +3 luck until the end of the week.
