Find the Ancient Troll Homeland is a quest in Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer. It must be completed to promote Trolls in the party to War Trolls.
After the lake of fire killed most of the population in Rust, the survivors were thinking about leaving the Ironsand Desert. Volog Sandwind had heard legends about the lush, green homeland that the Trolls had come from, so he wanted the Hero of Jadame to find it.

Walkthrough[]
Volog Sandwind can be found in the village of Rust, in the Ironsand Desert. The Ancient Troll Home can be found in a cave in Murmurwoods, northwest of the Temple of the Sun.
To fulfill the quest, the party simply has to enter the caves and come back out again. Once the cave has been visited, return to Volog Sandwind to complete the quest and be promoted. After this, Hobb Sandwind can promote Trolls to War Trolls.
