Find Blazen Stormlance and recover the spear Ebonest is a quest in Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer. It must be completed to promote Knights in the party to Champions.
The legendary Knight Blazen Stormlance left the dragon hunters to slay skeletal dragons in Shadowspire, but he never returned, and the dragon slaying spear Ebonest was lost with him. Charles Quixote, leader of the dragon hunters, was unwilling to forgive Blazen for the loss of the spear, and would not promote his daughter Leane to the rank of Champion until the weapon was returned. Leane asked the Hero of Jadame for help.
Walkthrough[]
Both Blazen and the spear can be found in the Mad Necromancer's Lab. Blazen can be found on the top floor, and Ebonest can be found in a chest in the lower level. The party must fight their way past necromancers, skeleton bowmen, and skeletal dragons to reach them.
Blazen has been cursed and cannot leave the lab, so the party must complete the Inquire about a cure quest by going to Dervish Chevron in Ravenshore and getting the Gem of Restoration. Blazen can then leave the lab.
Hire Blazen at The Adventurer's Inn, bring the spear to Quixote in the Dragon Hunter's Camp, and take Blazen to see Leane in her home. Quixote can promote Knights to Champions, and Leane will offer to join the party.
Notes[]
- If the party sided with the dragon hunters to form the Alliance of Jadame, Quixote can instead be found in the Merchant House in Ravenshore.
- This quest can still be completed even if the party sided with the Dragons.
