Irrational Hostility is a scenario in Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Shadow of Death.

Walkthrough[]

Over the years there has been peace. The lack of war has weakened your armies and brought the morale of your kingdom down. It is time to liven things up....well, get to work.OffBck

The hero has to capture three of the enemy towns and defeat their heroes. With this small map, the enemy can creep up rather quickly, through portals or subterrenian gates. As a bonus, however, can visit the black keymaster's tent at the northwest of the surface area to access the southeastern area, which is filled with unicorn glades and gold mines. Near the keymaster's tent also lies an unoccupied castle, which can be captured for further advantage.

Towns[]

  • Five random towns

Strategy[]

The hero should be alert that capturing a town could easily mean that they could lose one of theirs just as quickly. Securing the gold mines in the south is of importance to supply the towns with armies, at the very least to prevent the enemy from recruiting them.

While the surface towns have less territory to explore (due to mountains blocking passages), it is much easier to creep on the enemies in the underground, which have access to all mines but the gold mines.
