The gremlin saboteur is the alternate upgrade of the gremlin, the first level creature of the Academy, in Heroes of Might and Magic V: Tribes of the East.

The Gremlin Saboteur's mission in life is to destroy whatever it can, making it invaluable on the battlefield. Nothing, be it golems, catapults or city fortifications, is safe once it has been targeted by the Gremlin Saboteur.OffBck

Compared to the master gremlin, the saboteur has better stats, and a very different special ability: switching off enemy mechanical units, rather than repairing their own.

Since golems are Academy creatures, however, sabotage can only be used against war machines, or against towers in sieges, unless the opposing player is also from an Academy town. On the other hand, the extra stats makes the saboteur more useful in combat.

Abilities[]

  • Shooter - This creature can inflict damage remotely. When distance to target is longer than half the arena, the target suffers only half the normal damage. Shooter cannot use ranged attack when blocked by enemy creature. If there's no Ammo Cart in the army, the number of shots is limited by available ammo.
  • Sabotage - This creature can switch off any Mechanical enemy for one turn, if the target's Hit Points are lower than its own (activated ability). Mechanical targets include Golems, Ammo Cart, Ballista, First Aid Tent, Catapult and Town Towers.
