"I gave up the first piece of the Sword, although I had to resist all of my wizardly training to do so. Now I am to find the hut of a seer named Falor and give him two more pieces: the Celestial Necklace of Bliss and the Lion's Shield of Courage. This will be no simple errand, for the Erathians don't take kindly to large armies traipsing across their country."
—Yog
Falor and Terwen is the fourth scenario of the Birth of a Barbarian campaign in Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Shadow of Death.
Walkthrough[]
Yog must deliver the Celestial Necklace of Bliss and Lion's Shield of Courage to Falor and Terwen to win the scenario. However, if Yog is defeated in combat or loses either artifact, the scenario is lost. Yog is limited to level 21 but will carry his experience and skills on to the next scenario.OffBck
Having delivered the first two pieces of the blade, Yog goes to the lands of Erathia to give another two pieces to two seers named Falor and Terwen, located in an underground cave. However, the Erathians don't take kindly when someone goes through their lands with a large army. Yog starts with a Stronghold town; around it are several mines, as well as a red keymaster tent, but guarded by a green keymaster guard. To the south is a neutral Castle town. It also serves as a shipyard, since Yog will have to cross the lake. Between this Castle and the Stronghold is a monolith exit, which can be accessible through the portal entrance on the other side of the lake.
Beyond the lake lie two more Castle towns. In the south is the light blue keymaster tent, which is guarded by a quest guard that can be unlocked only if Yog is present. Yog will have to come to the central island and unlock the light blue keymaster guard and enter the cave. There are two stacks of archangels, who guard the green keymaster's tent and the seer's hut. Yog will have to defeat both of them, go back and unlock the green keymaster guard and visit the red keymaster's tent and unlock the guard tower. Yog has to give the Lion's Shield of Courage and the Necklace of Celestial Bliss to Terwen (who shouts at Yog). Falor apologizes and bids farewell to Yog, who goes to find Beleg and Orruk, the last two seers to complete his quest.
Towns[]
- Stronghold
- Castle x3
Strategy[]
The scenario has to be won with speed. Yog must not allow the enemy to overwhelm him. Instead, he has to seek the ship and travel with as much forces to defeat the heroes and capture the towns, allowing the rest of the scenario to be finished in peace. Yog and his heroes are limited to level 21.
Bugs[]
During the intro, Yog names the seer as "Falon" rather than Falor.
