Ellinger is a character in Might and Magic V: Darkside of Xeen. He is Queen Kalindra's wizard, and can be found in his tower.
Ellinger explains to the party that the Dragon Pharaoh's Orb (which they received from Zelda) is the source of the pharaoh's magic, which he sent out to find adventurers to help him. In order to return it to the pharaoh, they must retrieve the key to the dragon pharaoh's pyramid from Castle Kalindra.
When Sheltem kidnapped Queen Kalindra, he moved the castle out of phase with the rest of Xeen to prevent anyone from entering it. Ellinger asks the party to retrieve energy discs; for every 5 discs they bring him, Ellinger will restore one quarter of the castle.
Ellinger has a peculiar obsession with boots, the player can find a lot of boots inside his tower as well as a scientific treatise on them, written by Ellinger himself. (which is noted by the character that reads it to be very boring).
