In the most impenetrable reaches of Irollan live the Dryads. These secretive creatures rarely make themselves visible to others, choosing instead to devote all of their time to the mighty trees that they serve. With the help of their magic, a gift from nature, the dryads are able to heal any plant. This is why they are so worshipped by the treants, whose wounds are treated by the kind Nymphs. Out of gratitude to the Dryads, the trees bless them with the health of the forest.OffBck

The dryad is the alternate upgrade of the Pixie, the first-level creature of the Sylvan town, in Heroes of Might and Magic V add-on, Tribes of the East. The dryad has similar stats to the sprite, with 1 more maximum damage but 1 less initiative. The major difference is that while the sprite can cast spells, the dryad can heal friendly treants (and themselves). If your army contains treants, the dryads are useful. If not, there is little reason not to use the sprite instead.

Abilities[]

  • Flyer - This creature can move on to any free tile on the battlefield during its turn, regardless of the obstacles in the way.
  • No Enemy Retaliation - Enemies never retaliate after melee attacks by creatures with this ability.
  • Spray Attack - Creature simultaneously attacks three adjacent tiles occupied by the enemy.
  • Symbiosis - Once per combat, this creature can heal and resurrect Treants, or be healed by them (activated ability). The target stack receives 4 Hit Points per Dryad, and the Dryad stack is healed by 20 Hit Points per target in return.
