Driden is a member of Tawni Balfour's crew, and appears in the A Pirate's Daughter campaign in Heroes of Might and Magic IV.
Biography[]
Tawni described Driden as handsome, fair-haired, and "good-looking young man". His father was a scribe in Erathia, and Driden had learned how to read and write. They had been at sea when the Reckoning came.
Driden was hired by Black Balfour at the last port the pirate visited before his death. When his daughter Tawni took over the ship, she told Driden to scrape away the name of Black Balfour's ship, the Black Death, and rename it the Feral Vixen.
It turned out that Driden wasn't much use as a pirate, so Tawni made him her accountant and scribe. He was deathly afraid of her, which Tawni trusted would keep him honest.
After Tawni defeated the Mer-Queen, she remarked that "I think of the men who started this journey with me. Men like Arnoc the Hairless and Pete Girly, Foz the Axe and Driden the Scribe. And Eight-fingers Oba, of course. Most of them were dead now, and only Driden was still part of my crew." It's unclear if this means that Driden was the only member of her original crew that was still around, or just the only named member.
Appearances[]
Driden appears only in Heroes of Might and Magic IV.
