Dougal is a hero in Heroes of Might and Magic V.
Biography[]
As dedicated as his comrades to the glory of the Griffin Empire, Dougal's loyalty is balanced with a strong dose of pragmatism. Believing that the best enemy is one that is dead before he can lay a hand on a Griffin soldier, Dougal has specialized for many years in the training and equipping of archers. The shooters return his faith, believing that little can endanger them while Dougal is in command.OffBck
Dougal was an archer commander of the Holy Griffin Empire serving under the late Emperor Alexei Griffin. Two years after the fateful War of the Gray Alliance, he sought to participate in the Elven archery tournament.
On his way to the Elven kingdom of Irollan, he was to destroy a bandit gang, as Empress Fiona Unicorn ordered. Events took an unexpected turn however, when the Demon Lord Grok stole the contest's winning prize - Unicorn Horn Bow.
He chased the Demon, preventing him from reaching his infernal fortress. Afterwards, with the bow in his hand, he marched to the Elven city of Halthilloth, where the festival was supposed to take place and freed it from the Demons occupying it. After ensuring the safety of the Elves and Humans near the border, he conquered and destroyed the infernal city, depriving the Demons of their base of operations on the border between the Griffin Empire and Irollan.
