An avatar of Malassa is one thing, and at least they only wreak their havoc at night. A Daughter of Malassa is another... It's a crazed Dragon Knight... the shadow of a nightmare with the will of a damned soul." This quote from the diary of the Falcon priest, Johahn, sums up the limited knowledge the Holy Empire possesses in regards to Dragon Knights and their Dragon form manifestations. The Wizards of the Seven Cities write that Dragon Knights earn their title the day they have discovered their inner-dragon and pledge their lives to the protection of Ashan. They consider them benevolent whether dedicated to Malassa, Elrath or any of the other Elemental Dragons. The greater Dragon Knights master the power of transformation into the avatar form of their patron, and though their Dragon form is often smaller in size than a real Dragon found in the wild, it retains most of the abilities possessed by the Dragon Knight, making it more often than not, a more terrible foe.
