The Dark Lord is an advanced class in Heroes of Might and Magic IV. It requires specialization in Nobility and Death Magic.
Due to having already one of these skills, Lords and Necromancers are likely candidates for this class.

When the Dark Lord attacks, the sorrow spell is cast on their target.

The Dark Lord has the following priorities to learn secondary skills:
- 4: Death Magic and Nobility, as well as all of their related skills, have a priority of 4.
- 2: Archery, Combat, Defense, Melee, Offense, Tactics
- Chaos Magic, as well as all of its related skills, have a priority of 2.
- 1: Healing, Leadership, Magic Resistance, Pathfinding, Scouting, Seamanship, Spirituality
- Order Magic, as well as all of its related skills, have a priority of 1.
- 0: Life Magic, Nature Magic, Resurrection, Summoning, Stealth
