- For Crusaders in other games of the series, see Crusader.
"Crusaders are noble fighters who have devoted their lives fighting for justice. As such, they have been granted limited skill in the magical arts. While not as powerful as a trained Scholar or Healer, the magic is a welcome addition to their weapon–bearing abilities. As Crusaders become more skilled, they must eventually face a choice between fighting for the good of mankind as a Paladin, or for the good of nature as a Ranger."
The Crusader is a might class in Might and Magic IX. It is one of the two promotions of the Fighter, the other being the Mercenary. The path of the Crusader will allow the character to use some magic along with their combat expertise.

Promotion[]
If they complete the quest from Fenja Tree-friend, Crusaders can be promoted to Rangers, which are experts with the bow, dodge enemy attacks, and can use elemental magic.
If they instead complete the quest from Grehgknak the Right, they can be promoted to Paladins, which are experts in blades and blunt weapons, use heavy armor, and can cast some light and spirit magic spells.
