- For other uses of the term, see counterstrike.
Counterstrike is the class-specific skill of the Knights of the Haven town in Heroes of Might and Magic V.
Effects[]
Counterstrike increases damage when retaliating, and allows the hero to train a limited number of human troops up a tier every week. This only works within Haven towns where a training grounds structure has been built.
- Basic Counterstrike means damage dealt by knight's troops on retaliation strikes is increased by 5%.
- Advanced Counterstrike reduces training cost by 15%, and increases damage dealt by knight's troops on retaliation strikes by 10%.
- Expert Counterstrike reduces training cost by 30%, and increases damage dealt by knight's troops on retaliation strikes by 20%.
- Ultimate Counterstrike reduces training cost by 45%, and increases damage dealt by knight's troops on retaliation strikes by 25%.
The Counterstrike skill can upgrade Haven creatures, the cost being per unit. The price to upgrade a peasant to a cavalier (and all the units trained in between) is accumulative, at a total of 6120 gold. The Knight can train 7 units with training grounds built, and additional 13 with Hall of Heroes built.
- peasant to archer: 150 gold
- archer to footmen: 270 gold
- footmen to priest: 1950 gold
- priest to cavalier: 3750 gold
Skill rates[]
Only the Knight class can learn Counterstrike skill, at 10% probability.
