Conquer and Unify is the first scenario of the Descendants campaign in Heroes of Might and Magic II: The Price of Loyalty.

Jarkonas managed to defeat the other tribes in the area on the field of battle, creating a kingdom that his descendants would rule for generations.

Walkthrough[]

Jarkonas starts out with a single barbarian castle in the northwestern corner. The yellow and red players have a knight castle each in the southwestern and northeastern corner, respectively, while the blue player has a barbarian castle in the southeastern corner. In the center of the map, there's a neutral wizard town, ready to be captured.

The player should take gold as the starting reward, as it will help capitalize the effectiveness of a Barbarian rush.

Hire another barbarian hero, give him all the orcs and goblins from the castle and hero. Kill off the creature stack guarding the shiny hoard northwest of the castle and start sending the hero to go southeast. Capture the Wizard town, but avoid building it up. Use the town's gold to supplement income. Continue southeast, capture the Barbarian town, and combine forces. While doing so, build up the main barbarian town until trolls are available.

Pick either north or west to capture the last two Knight castles. If the player is fast enough, the enemy may not even attack the creatures blocking the exits of their castle, leaving nothing to worry about defense of the payer's castles.
