- This article is about the creature from Heroes V. For other uses, see centaur marauder.
The Centaur Marauders are the heavy cavalry of the orcs' army. While they are not the best archers, they are by far the strongest of the centaurs when it comes to hand-to-hand combat. The Marauders' passion for trophies means that they always throw themselves into the thick of the battle in order to claim as many enemy skulls or scalps as possible.OffBck
The centaur marauder is the second-level creature of the Stronghold town in Heroes of Might and Magic V: Tribes of the East. It's an upgraded version of the centaur.
Compared to the centaur nomad, it is less effective at range, but more dangerous if the enemy manages to get into close combat. For a ranged tier-2 creature, it is reasonably sturdy, but they should still avoid taking unnecessary damage, even if it can fend for itself better in melee combat than centaur nomads.
Abilities[]
- Large Creature - This creature is bigger than others and occupies four squares on the field. This creature takes 2x2 squares on the battlefield.
- Shooter - This creature can inflict damage remotely. When distance to target is longer than half the arena, the target suffers only half the normal damage. Shooter cannot use ranged attack when blocked by enemy creature. If there's no Ammo Cart in the army, the number of shots is limited by available ammo.
- Raging Blood - This creature has a mix of demon and human blood that makes it subject to "Blood Rage" temporarily improving it's battle characteristics for aggressive behavior in combat.
- No Melee Penalty - Shooter has no penalty for damage inflicted during melee attack.
