Might and Magic Wiki

"As you foresaw milord, King Gryphonheart’s death brings many opportunities for your mercenary skills. A messenger from Tatalia, on behalf of King Tralossk, has contacted us. Twenty years ago, following numerous border skirmishes along the western shore of Erathia, Tatalia signed an agreement to cease hostilities. King Gryphonheart is dead. Their agreement has died with him. Aggressive tactics have never been part of Tatalia's military character. Their ranks are vast, and once they possess Erathian land, they will hold it. However, they need generals to guide their heroes to expand their borders and accommodate their growing population."

Borderlands is a scenario of the Spoils of War campaign in Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Restoration of Erathia.

Walkthrough[]

To win, you must flag all mines. Your Heroes will be limited to 12th level in this scenario, but your 8 strongest Heroes will be available to you in the final scenario of this campaign.OffBck

With King Gryphonheart's death, the peace treaties he made have now been disbanded. King Tralossk, King of Tatalia, has contacted some mercenaries to plunder the local mines from neighboring Erathian lands.

The mercenary starts with two Fortress castles in the swamp. The objective is to claim all mines in the area. Some are in the swamp, while others lie in the Erathian territory behind the garrison. The enemy has three Castles, though they cannot be built completely. Once the mines have been claimed, Tatalia prepares for the battle against Krewlod.

Towns[]

Strategy[]

Considering the Castle towns cannot be built completely, the enemy will send skirmishes, just for an annoyance. To prevent that, the garrison can be captured and have some troops to stop the attacks. Instead, the heroes can visit the places to improve their primary skills before launching a full-scale attack. Once the enemy is defeated, there is not much left but to flag all mines.

Also, all heroes are limited to level 12 and the best eight heroes can be chosen in the final scenario.
