The bone dragon is the sixth-tier unit of the Necromancer faction in Heroes of Might and Magic II, recruited from a laboratory.

While the bone dragon lacks the two-hex attacks typical of living dragons, it has the ability to lower the morale of enemies, and its damage is superior to other sixth-tier units, save the green dragon and its upgrades. It is also one of only two sixth tier resources that only costs gold to produce, the other being the paladin and its upgrade.

Overall, the bone dragon has the best of both worlds, being relatively cheap for a sixth tier unit, but still possessing high damage-dealing potential.
