The blooming aqualotl is an upgraded tier 4 creature of the Grove faction. It is recruited from the Blooming Pond II. It is one of two upgrades for the aqualotl, along with the polar aqualotl.

To most in Jadame, water is both the source of life and the veil of oblivion — a hand soothed in water forgets its scratch, and a leap over a stream lifts one’s gloom. To a Blooming Aqualotl, it is a pure joy to take such worries away.OffBck

Tactics[]

Blooming aqualotls deal more damage than regular aqualotls, but their Rivulet Retreat ability is somewhat situational and relies on slowing an enemy melee creature down enough to properly kite them (i.e. via the Web spell). It can, however, be useful if the blooming aqualotls have no other targets and don't want to take a melee counterattack (shooting an enemy adjacent to them will provoke a retaliation).
