The basilisk rider is an elite creature of the Stronghold in Might & Magic: Heroes VII. Its upgraded form is the basilisk lancer.

Scaly, ugly, and generally unpleasant to look upon, Basilisks are great lizards found in desolate areas. Basilisks came to be after the battles of the Mythic Age, when the blood of wounded Dragons ran across the face of Ashan, turning primitive animals into magical beasts. The most dangerous weapon of the Basilisk is its ability to temporarily petrify its opponent with its gaze.^OffBck
