Barshon is a barbarian that appears in the Hack and Slash campaign in Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Shadow of Death. Crag Hack must defeat him to retrieve the Skull Helmet for Sandro.
Biography[]
When Crag Hack was hired by Sandro to retrieve some magical artifacts for him, one of the items Sandro sought was the Skull Helmet, which he said had been recently found by a barbarian named Barshon. Barshon came from Avauntnell, and lived close to Krewlod. Sandro told him that Barshon had no honor and would lie like a snake, so he shouldn't trust anything the man said. Crag Hack agreed to take the job.
When Crag Hack entered the region, he learned that the rogue barbarians in the area had allied with Barshon. Barshon sent him a message, informing him that the Skull Helmet was a family heirloom of his, handed down through generations, and that it wouldn't give it up without a fight. Crag Hack decided that this was a lie, since Sandro had told him that Barshon found the helmet, and had even warned him that the man was untrustworthy.
Crag Hack defeated the other barbarians and killed Barshon in battle, bringing the helmet back to Sandro for his next mission.
