Avalon is a quest giver in Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer.
He can be found in his home in the Dragonhunter village within the region of Garrote Gorge. He gives the party the Kill all the Dragons quest, which requires them to slay all dragons in Garrote Gorge and the Dragon Cave. When they return to Avalon, he will reward them.
The party can choose to complete this quest, or the Kill all the Dragon Hunters quest for Jerin Flame-eye in the Dragon Cave.
Avalon's quest is no longer available if the party sided with the dragons to form the Alliance of Jadame, and Jerin's quest is no longer available if the party sided with the dragon hunters.
