Assassin is an advanced class in Heroes of Might and Magic IV. It requires specialization in Combat and Death Magic.
Due to having already one of these skills, Archers, Barbarians and Necromancers are likely candidates for this class.
Effect[]
An Assassin has permanent haste cast upon them, giving a +3 bonus to speed and movement, allowing them to usually strike first.

The Assassin has the following priorities to learn secondary skills:
- 5: Stealth
- 4: Combat and Death Magic, as well as all of their related skills, have a priority of 4.
- 2: Scouting
- Chaos Magic, as well as all of its related skills, have a priority of 2.
- 1: Diplomacy, Estates, Healing, Herbalism, Meditation, Mining, Pathfinding, Seamanship, Spirituality
- Order Magic and Tactics, as well as all of their related skills, have a priority of 1.
- 0: Life Magic, Nature Magic, Nobility, Resurrection, Summoning
