Arrak Southerly is a minor character that's mentioned in Might and Magic: The Sea of Mist. He was one of the teachers at the Circle of Steel at the Magistracy of Soronne.
Arrak was one of the greatest fighters at the Magistracy, but tried his best to teach his students to be humble, telling them that any swordsman can beat another.
After Praz-El beat him in a duel, Arrak told the young warrior that he considered him to be the best student he'd ever taught. But he was worried about the boy's arrogance, and told Magistrate Bo that he'd never dealt with a student who managed to keep his arrogance for so long. Praz-El responded by quoting Dellan's Beauty of War: "Arrogance makes champions".
