Aranorn is one of the kingdoms of Iranese, and was the home of the elves in Axeoth. Led by the members of the Council of Elders, aided by the Elven Court, for many years, the nation did not have a king until Elwin was elected years after the nation's founding.

Aranorn appears in the Elwin and Shaera campaign in Heroes of Might and Magic IV.

History Edit

Founded by the survivors of AvLee who escaped through the portals during the Reckoning, Aranorn was the home of the elves on Axeoth. The members of the Council of Elders were their new rulers, the Forest Guard to keep them safe, and the Elven Court to give everyone a voice, Aranorn prospered.

Lord Harke, a commander of the Forest Guard, and Elwin, one of the druids, both sought the affection of Shaera, daughter of the high-ranking commander Gramin. This rivalry turned deadly after Harke tried to have Elwin killed, and then managed to convince the Elven Court that Elwin had attacked him instead. The white tigers, whom Elwin had personally brought into alliance with Aranorn, sided with the druid, even when most of the Elven Court doubted him.

After making a mirror of true love to prove that Harke had used potions to make Shaera marry him, Elwin gained the support of the Elven Court. He was crowned king, and the Elder Council presented him with the Bow of the Elf King, the symbol of elven rulers.

But most of the Forest Guard still sided with their former commander, and a civil war raged. After finally defeating Harke in battle, dragging him back to stand trial, Elwin could rule Aranorn in peace, with his wife Shaera at his side.
