"Though not what he expected to find, it seems that the Frost Hammer is a part of the Armor of the Tiger artifact set, created by Adram using a hired wizard. Carsas Blacksword has the next piece, and with the help of some Necromancers Dogwoggle has befriended, obtaining it should be easy."

Allies Lost is the second scenario in the Might Makes Right campaign in The Gathering Storm.

Information

"Armed now with the Frost Hammer, Dogwoggle enlists the aid of some necromancers to help him find the Tiger Breastplate. The second brother, Carsas Blacksword, was last seen wearing it."

Despite being betrayed by the Necromancers, Dogwoggle managed to locate Carsas Blacksword, defeating him to aquire the Tiger Armor.

Strategy

While Dogwoggle starts out with four towns (three Necropolises and a Stronghold), he won't keep them for long - on the third day, the towns will rebel, becoming blue. He shouldn't spend any resources on the towns before this happens, apart from the northwestern Necropolis, which will remain in his hands.

There are two ways from the Necropolis. The path north is blocked by a blue gate, while the way east is blocked by a red tower, requiring the red Keymaster Tent, which is located behind the Necropolis. Recapturing the two Necropolises will allow him to train more reinforcements, though Dogwoggle will probably be too strong to need them. But giving them to a second hero will allow that hero to scout and capture mines more easily.

The blue Keymaster Tent can be found to the east of the northeastern Necropolis. West of the town, a quest hut will give 4000 gold and 20 gems for 25 zombies, while the one outside his starting town will give 9000 gold for 55 Skeletons. Both are well worth the cost.

Heading southeast, there's a two-way Portal blocked by a teal gate, and another leading to the surface, near the formerly allied Stronghold. By this point, it might be under the blue or teal players' control.

The goal now is to move west across the water, to find the teal Keymaster's Tent and siege the blue and teal Asylums. If Dogwoggle knows Life Magic and has captured the underground shipyard, he can train a ship and use Summon Ship. If not, he should move north, to the red two-way Portal that will lead him to a Stronghold that can build a shipyard. Either way, either he or another hero should sail west, reaching the teal Keymaster's Tent and preparing to attack.

Once all towns are under his control, he can build up an army and attack Carsas, who can be found near the teal starting town, behind a gate that only an army containing Dogwoggle can move through. He has powerful spells, but Dogwoggle should have a few levels of Magic Resistance by now. Once he is defeated, Dogwoggle aquires the Tiger Armor.
