Abyssal worm is a character in Might & Magic: Heroes VI.
Avatar of Ur-Vomoch, the Overlord of Voracity, the Abyssal Worm is a gigantic worm whose soft body is protected by heavy, toothed rings. Its mouth is encircled by horns which speed its passage though the semi-molten rocks of Sheogh. Gluttonous and insatiable, the Abyssal Worm feeds on the dying screams of the victims offered to it in sacrifice, or in the enemies unlucky enough to face it on the battlefield. And it can gorge itself endlessly.
The abyssal worm is a giant demonic worm that feeds on the power of blood crystals.
The Abyssal Worm is one of the boss characters.
A Wormful of Demons Edit
It is necessary to create a big army in order for the boss to be defeated under some turns, and cannot take advantage of his abilities then. This works if this army is ready before the boss destroy the starting town (Haruru) before it only, because there is only a week afterwards this way.
A Dream Which Was Not All A Dream Edit
Although there is a limited army, serious losses will not be so.
- Arachne in Level 4; Vampiric Embrace; Regeneration, Mass (to heals creatures)
- Evasive Maneuvers; Stone Skin, Mass (to reduces damage)
- Weakness (reduce the boss' damage by half)
- Reinforcements (increase number of target stack)
Shallows target small creature and push adjancent small creatures away. The devoured creature cant act and is digested suffering 6000 damage (Might) at the start of each boss action. The Abyssal Worm cannot burrow while digesting. Cooldown: 1 turn(s).
The Abyssal Worm will become enraged when severly injured (below 35% Health) and acts one aditional time each turn for the rest of the combat. Cannot be dispelled. Cooldown: 1 turn(s).
Whenever the Abyssal Worm is dealt damage in melee she attempts to move away.
- Lava Blood
Creatures attacking the Abyssal Worm in melee are splashed by her fiery blood. Deals 1000 damage (Fire) for 3 turn(s).
The Abyssal Worm can shoot after moving.
- Fireproof Skin
Having adapted to the volcanic environment of their prison-world Sheogh, demons are 20% more resistant to Fire damage.
- Vulnerability to Light
Light spells which damage the living are empowered against undead and demons by 20%. Light spells which heal the living damage undead and demons.
Creatures can be healed and resurrected. Susceptible to morale.
Movement and Initiative of Boss creatures cannot be reduced. Also grants immunity of Blind effects, Mind Influence and effects causing loss of action.
- A Wormful of Demons: When Sandor collects the 500 blood crystals, the worm appears, eating the Tear of Asha. Sandor will have to slay the beast and get the crystal out.
Second Necropolis CampaignEdit

- Caesarean Rescue
Kill the Abyssal Worm while digesting one of your creatures.
Very low chance for use "Devour" ability, but may turn out with a repeated attempt.
