Blood Rage is the the class-specific skill for the Barbarians of the Stronghold in Heroes of Might and Magic V: Tribes of the East.

Effects[]

Creatures that achieve Blood Rage are granted appropriate combat bonuses.

  • Basic Blood Rage allows Stronghold creatures in the hero's army to achieve a first level of rage while fighting.
  • Advanced Blood Rage allows Stronghold creatures in the hero's army to achieve a second level of rage while fighting.
  • Expert Blood Rage allows Stronghold creatures in the hero's army to achieve a third level of rage while fighting.
  • Ultimate Blood Rage decreases by 25% the number of points needed by Stronghold creatures to achieve their next level of Rage.

Stronghold creatures, except wyverns and their upgrade, can receive or lose blood rage points, depending on which action has been performed.

The following list spells bonuses, which can be doubled if the units have a frenzy spell cast on them:

  • Suffering a debuffing spell: +10
  • Enemy stack killed: +20
  • Warcry used: +10 + 10 * level of warcry
  • Friendly stack killed: +30 (+60 if Enraged)
  • Casting a spell on an enemy unit: +40
  • Ranged attack performed: +50
  • Sacrificing a goblin with sky daughter/earth daughter or swallowing them with a cyclops: +60
  • Melee attack performed: +100

These actions reduce the unit's blood rage points:

  • Suffering a confusion spell: -5 * (level of mastery + 1)
  • Struck by an enemy unit's special strike (bash, warding arrow, fear attack, paw strike): -20
  • Stronghold unit defending: -30
  • Performing an action while under a puppet master spell: -50
  • Low morale: -80
  • Struck by weakening strike or life drain attack: -90
  • Waiting a turn: -100
  • Cowardice/frightened: -100
  • Skipping a turn due to blindness spell: -100

Units can also absorb some of the damage by losing some of their blood points, totaling to:

Back to the Void (Shatter Summoning) A Babarian wearing "Weapons of Might" artifact set also delays the attacked creature's turn by 30%. Weakening strike ability inflicts suffering spell through this ability.

H5AbsoluteRage Absolute rage All stronghold creatures in hero's army get 500 additonal points of rage at the beginning of combat. This is the ultimate Blood Rage skill; it does not unlock other abilities, but it requires abilities from other skills:

Bonuses[]

  • Bloodfire ability multiplies increases and decreases of Blood Rage points by 50%.
  • Shout of Rage ability doubles Blood Rage points from warcries.
  • Pile of Skulls building lets the defending Stronghold army gain 50 Blood Rage points.
  • Kujin is a specialist in Blood Rage, for creatures gain more blood rage points if there is an Inferno creature on the battlefield.
